Terriers Tame Wolverines

Portage’s offense came to life in the second period last night at Stride Place for a convincing 10-1 win over Wayway.

With 2 hat tricks and 6 different players scoring goals , the Terriers picked up their 7th straight win.

It was a quiet first period with a combined 12 shots and the lone goal coming with 17 seconds left to go in the period.

Lane Taylor scored his 2nd of the season with a point shot to go ahead by two 1:52 in the second. Wayway’s Marco Mazza cut the Terriers’ lead in half getting one by Braden Benoit less than a minute later.

Portage took off from there scoring  8 more unanswered goals. Moffatt and Leipsic both completed hat tricks, while Zimmer scored 2, Tanner and McIsaac each picking up singles.

Brenden Benoit faced 15 shots and picked up his 3rd win.

The Terriers are back in action tonight when they head to Swan Valley to take on the Stampeders. Game time 7:30pm.
