The Terriers Reign Supreme over the Kings

Shawn Bowles ties the game at one in the 3rd.

Last night at the PCU Centre the Terriers played host to the Dauphin Kings.

The Kings were first on the board at 5:16 of the 1st when Thomas found himself all alone and was able to put it by Nathan Park. The rest of the first would be scoreless with the Terriers outshooting the Kings 14-5.

The Terriers were looking to get on the board in the second, but due to stellar goaltending from the former Wayway defender Holtby, they were unable to. Both teams were involved in some pushing and shoving after the whistle. Knaub was ejected from the game with a match penalty and Stanley, Macdonald, Greening and Morrison all received 10 minute misconducts.

The game would take a turn in the 3rd when the Terriers found another gear. Shawn Bowles would open the scoring for the Terriers followed by Sokoloski and Stanley potting goals of their own all in a span of 1:29. Brakel would add the finishing touches on a breakaway for a 4-1 final.

The Terriers outshot the Kings 43-21.

The Terriers are on the road Friday looking for their first win this season against Winkler. Game time 7:30pm.
