Terriers dominate in Dauphin

Barnstable buries his first of two on the breakaway.

The Terriers dominated the Kings in Dauphin last night outshooting them 42-23 and finding the back of the net 7 times.

Halfway through the first, Enns opened the scoring on the powerplay burying a one timer. Enns doubled up the Terriers lead at 17:27 beating McGovern on the powerplay again. Barnstable scored a shorthanded goal just before the period expired as he intercepted a pass and scored on the breakaway.

Briscoe got the Kings on the board early in the second, but Brakel quickly re-established the 3 goal lead scoring his first of the game from the slot. Barnstable and Brakel would both score their 2nd of the night in the second for a 6-1 Portage lead heading in to the final frame.

Briscoe scored his second of the game and Leipsic picked up the Terriers 7th for a 7-1 final score in Portage and Dauphin’s final meeting of the season.

Aiken picks up the win with 21 saves on the night.

The Terriers are back on the ice at Stride Place Sunday night, welcoming the Winnipeg Blues at 6:30pm
